MINIMONY
Includes the celebrant's professional appearance fee to legally officiate the ceremony 
  • Small gathering of around 20 to 40 close friends and family members
  • May involve a unity ritual, music, and readings
  • May include a couple of attendants
  • Takes place in an informal venue: your own backyard, a garden, a boutique hotel, the park
  • Tend to be more relaxed ​
  • ​Includes a rehearsal

I believe in pricing and fee transparency. My wedding officiant personalized and customized ceremony prices start at $395 for an elopement, with additional fees for expedited services and/or travel, and go up to $545 for a minimony.

PERSONAL TOUCHES

Hello! I'm Michele Duncan King. As a wedding officiant and life-cycle celebrant, I enjoy getting to know you, writing your love story, and creating handcrafted, personalized ceremonies for elopements and minimonies. I'm based out of Ashland, Oregon, in the Rogue Valley, although I'm available to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest. 
It's important to have an officiant who is a good match for your special day! My approach to meaningful, inclusive ceremony writing runs the gamut: sustainable/eco-friendly, unique, whimsy, simplistic/minimalistic, and chic romantic. However, I want you to know that you call the shots and you have options! Let me create your own unique love story that reflects you!

As an alumnus of the Celebrant Foundation & Institute, I'm a professionally trained ceremony specialist who believes in the art, power, and effectiveness of ceremony and ritual to honor life's milestone events. Celebrants collaborate with our clients to create and deliver personalized ceremonies that reflect their beliefs, philosophies, and personalities. 
I'm an ordained minister and I can legally preside over and officiate weddings in the state of Oregon. With that being said, there are some rituals and rites I am not able to nor should I ethically perform.
